The HOSA: Future Health Professionals competition is a series of events that allow students to demonstrate their healthcare-related knowledge, skills, and leadership to foster a positive attitude toward competition. The program is designed to help students develop the skills they need to become future health professionals. The events are aligned with the National Healthcare Foundation Standards and Accountability Criteria, and each event simulates a real-world scenario. The various categories of events include Health Science Events, Health Professions Events, Emergency Preparedness Events, Leadership Events, Teamwork Events and Recognition Events. Competition through USF HOSA: FHP costs around $70 to compete at both the Winter Leadership Conference (regional level) and State Leadership Conference with our travel grant. Timeline for Competition

Affiliation Fees & Winter Leadership Conference Fee Due
Before you compete at the Winter Leadership Conference, you are required to be affiliated with the regional, state and national level of HOSA: FHP. These fees along with the fees required to compete at WLC will be due on this date.
February (Date TBD)
State Leadership Conference Fees Due
In order to compete at the State Leadership Conference, there is a fee of about 330 dollars including the hotel and transportation. This initial fee must be paid by February and then students will be reimbursed 250 dollars with a travel grant given by USF. This reimbursement occurs at the end of the year in May.
April 3rd- April 6th
State Leadership Conference
World Center Marriott Orlando, Florida
The state leadership conference is the highlight of the year for competing students. Students enjoy participating as in their respective events along with their team members and friends at the Orlando Marriott World Center . Along with the conference, students often get a chance to go Disney World or Disney Springs (based on personal preference)!

Winter Leadership Conference
Middleton Highschool
The Winter Leadership Conference is the regional leevl competition hosted by the Suncoast Region. This is the conference required in order to qualify for the state leadership conference. The event that you choose for this conference will be the event that you compete in for the ongoing year at the subsequent levels.
